Key Responsibilities

  • •Spray paints vehicles, special weapons items, guided missile systems, and related equipment using enamel, lacquer, and vinyl materials.
  • •Apply specialty coatings (e.g., crinkle finishes, nonskid, rubber coatings, fluorescent touch-up paint) and create camouflage finishes using multiple colors.
  • •Mix, thin, and adjust paints (including dryers/flattening agents) and maintain spray tank, spray gun, and air-pressure settings.
  • •Apply stencils, silk screens, and decals where accuracy and legibility are critical.
  • •Read technical manuals and bulletins to determine paint types/colors/markings; inspect surfaces and maintain spray equipment safely.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of experience in vehicle painting.
  • •High school Diploma/GED with normal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret security clearance.
