Key Responsibilities

•Spray paints vehicles, special weapons items, guided missile systems, and related equipment using enamel, lacquer, and vinyl materials.
•Apply specialty coatings (e.g., crinkle finishes, nonskid, rubber coatings, fluorescent touch-up paint) and create camouflage finishes using multiple colors.
•Mix, thin, and adjust paints (including dryers/flattening agents) and maintain spray tank, spray gun, and air-pressure settings.
•Apply stencils, silk screens, and decals where accuracy and legibility are critical.
•Read technical manuals and bulletins to determine paint types/colors/markings; inspect surfaces and maintain spray equipment safely.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•3-5 years of experience in vehicle painting.
•High school Diploma/GED with normal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret security clearance.
