Job Summary

Ensure aviation personnel meet PCAA medical standards as the Accountable Manager for AOC. Perform medical examinations for air crew and flight operations officers, conduct daily sick report consultations, and provide medical awareness to maintain continued medical fitness. Carry out alcohol breathalyzer checks and random psychoactive drug testing, validate onboard medical kits, and submit weekly/monthly reports to PCAA while coordinating with relevant departments and implementing COVID-19 precautions.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the Accountable Manager for AOC and perform all related duties.
•Conduct medical examinations for air crew and flight operations officers at induction and revalidation.
•Provide daily sick report consultations and maintain air crew fitness, including routine vaccinations.
•Perform pre/post-flight alcohol breathalyzer checks and random psychoactive drug testing for cabin and cockpit crew.
•Maintain medical records, validate onboard medical kits, coordinate with relevant departments, and submit weekly/monthly reports to PCAA.

Key Requirements

•MBChB, MBBS, MD (or equivalent) medical degree plus completion of vocational training in general practice.
•Current medical registration with a recognized medical board or council, acceptable to the Ministry of NHSR&C registration and licensing.
•An additional diploma in Aviation Medicine.
•Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in general practice.
•Previous experience working in an aviation medicine environment (essential); membership to recognized medical councils (preferred).
