Job Summary

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts to support Tapestry and its Coach and Kate Spade brands. Advise internal business partners on contract risk, interpretation, and legal trends, translating complex issues into practical recommendations. Partner with stakeholders to improve sourcing, vendor optimization, and contract management, including using a contract management system and integrating company-provided AI tools. Hybrid role with three days per week in NYC.

Key Responsibilities

•Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including supplier, service provider, consulting, technology, advertising & marketing, wholesale customer, sustainability, logistics, and construction/design services contracts.
•Provide legal advice and practical solutions on contract provisions and interpretation to support business objectives.
•Advise business clients and stakeholders in writing and in in-person meetings, translating complex legal issues into understandable risk assessments and recommendations.
•Monitor legal trends and developing areas of the law and advise on risks impacting company operations and services.
•Perform contract management duties using a contract management system and incorporate company-provided AI tools into daily workflows.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 115,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctorate and admission/member in good standing of the New York bar.
•2+ years of experience and experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
•Experience building, updating, and refining contract policies and templates, including negotiating positions.
•Strong judgment to assess issues and legal risk, prioritize a heavy workflow, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
•Experience working with/managing a contract management system and advising business clients directly (preferably in-house).
