Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and direct office and administrative functions, ensuring efficiency, policy compliance, cost control, and tasks assigned by the General Manager.
  • •Oversee Environmental, Health & Safety practices, reinforcing safe work practices and ensuring documentation and procedures align with corporate safety policies and OSHA/regulatory guidelines.
  • •Run office performance processes including supervision of office functions, maintaining daily/weekly/monthly tracking reports, assisting with scale system applications, and supporting month-end close deadlines.
  • •Manage contracts and internal control responsibilities by obtaining and maintaining contract documentation, ensuring required certificates and hazardous waste forms are up to date, and coordinating updates with relevant teams.
  • •Supervise office staff (Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, and Scrap Purchasing Processor/Specialist) and provide backup truck scale operations as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Two-year degree in a related field with five years general office experience, including at least two years in management (or high school diploma with ten years general office experience and four years in management and logistics or accounting/bookkeeping).
  • •Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and required 10-key competency.
  • •Strong supervisory skills and advanced accounting/analytic abilities with superior math skills.
  • •Knowledge of purchasing systems and the scrap industry, plus familiarity with freight, demurrage, cost calculations, and applicable regulation policies.
