Key Responsibilities

  • •Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts and other legal documents, ensuring legal soundness and effective risk mitigation.
  • •Provide practical, business-focused legal advice on day-to-day operational, commercial, insurance, and takaful matters in line with Zurich’s policies and standards.
  • •Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal governance requirements.
  • •Contribute legal expertise to company projects and broader business initiatives as assigned.
  • •Support in implementing and maintaining data protection governance frameworks, including DPIAs, privacy reviews, and compliance documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Law; professional certifications in data privacy are a plus
  • •Minimum 5 years’ experience in an in-house legal role with at least 2 years focused on data privacy
  • •Experience with commercial contracts and regulatory matters
  • •Understanding of Malaysian PDPA, global privacy standards, and business operations
  • •Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia an advantage
