Key Responsibilities

•Underwrite new and renewable accounts to meet top and bottom-line targets; negotiate participation, pricing and terms with brokers; proactively manage capacity; evaluate catastrophe accumulation and international programs as relevant.
•Ensure underwriting aligns with LoB governance, contract certainty, and use of global pricing tools; place and bind reinsurance prior to inception.
•Ensure accurate policy documentation and file maintenance for each risk; support policy administration and credit control processes.
•Support development and execution of regional underwriting strategy; coach junior underwriters and manage referrals and complex cases as appropriate.
•Lead acquisition and retention efforts by negotiating with clients and brokers, liaising with MMC on market initiatives, and building strong broker/client relationships.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 85,982 - 129,875 annually

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 years proven track record in underwriting profitable inland marine business with strong broker relationships
•Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance or Economics (preferred)
•Completion of a professional insurance qualification
•Ability to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant to Inland Marine; manage underwriting books and analyze trends
•A willingness to leverage AI tools to support day-to-day tasks and drive data-driven decisions
