Job Summary

Lead regulatory research and analysis for the Regulatory Research Associates (RRA) team, covering U.S. state utility regulation and utility financial performance. You’ll evaluate complex regulatory, legislative, and market developments across multiple jurisdictions, build and maintain proprietary datasets and analytical frameworks, and produce high-impact research that supports investor and industry decision-making. Represent RRA in stakeholder engagements, mentor junior analysts, and help evolve research processes using advanced analytics, AI-enabled tools, and technology-driven workflows.

•Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. state utility regulation, regulatory risk, and utility financial performance.
•Lead analysis and interpretation of major regulatory, legislative, and policy developments affecting electric and natural gas utilities.
•Own and continuously enhance proprietary regulatory datasets, analytical frameworks, and research processes for scalability and sustainability.
•Produce and oversee high-impact comparative research and thought leadership supporting investor, utility, and industry decisions.
•Represent RRA with clients and stakeholders, mentor junior analysts, and evolve methodologies, workflows, and product offerings based on emerging trends and client needs.
