Job Summary

Own mechanical readiness for production test fixtures, jigs, and enclosures within the Local Product Engineering group. Maintain and govern maintenance/calibration processes across contract manufacturing sites, manage equipment limit data, and support NPI mechanical readiness through V&V and manufacturing ramp. Coordinate hands-on mechanical issue resolution across global CMs, drive structured quality audits, and process ECOs with correct documentation/version control using Agile/PLM systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and continuously improve production test setups, jigs, mechanical enclosures, and assembly tooling, ensuring standardization across product lines and CM sites.
•Own maintenance and calibration governance, including process documentation, quarterly maintenance audits at CM facilities, and calibration frequency reduction initiatives.
•Perform data-driven equipment limit analysis (e.g., mating cycles, cable wear) and recommend/approve limit extensions based on risk assessment.
•Support NPI mechanical readiness from prototype through V&V station approval, including station duplication and mechanical training for CM technicians.
•Coordinate with global contract manufacturers to resolve mechanical gaps and production blockers in real time, and conduct structured quality audits and drive corrective actions.

Key Requirements

•B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
•5+ years as a mechanical engineer in a production/manufacturing environment.
•Hands-on experience with fixture and jig design for electronics manufacturing or test.
•Ability to read, interpret, and review mechanical and assembly drawings.
•Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as Creo Parametric or SolidWorks (or similar).
