  • •Build the materials roadmap to reduce skeleton weight using advanced composites and high-strength alloys while maintaining stiffness and safety.
  • •Extend fatigue life of joints/structures and qualify materials to help robots survive real-world falls.
  • •Deliver next-generation durable skin using safe elastomer systems and protect embedded tactile sensors while meeting grip durability targets.
  • •Lead and grow the materials science team and lab/test capability; operate as trusted materials authority for mechanical design, manufacturing, and safety partners.

Key Requirements
