Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead day-to-day QC laboratory operations across chemical, physical, analytical, and microbiological testing for raw materials, bulk product, packaging, labels, and finished goods.
  • •Ensure testing, documentation, review, and release are accurate, efficient, and compliant with FDA, cGMP, cGLP, internal, and customer requirements.
  • •Oversee analytical method qualification, validation, verification, transfer, and lifecycle management; ensure methods are scientifically sound and fit for purpose.
  • •Provide technical direction for OOS, OOT, atypical results, deviations, and laboratory investigations; support new product launches, reformulations, and troubleshooting.
  • •Manage inspection readiness and lab systems (documentation, sample management, equipment calibration/maintenance) while driving QC performance metrics and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or related scientific field; advanced degree preferred.
  • •15+ years of progressive Quality Control, laboratory, analytical, or manufacturing quality experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing (preferably OTC, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, personal care, or consumer health).
  • •Significant leadership experience in QC laboratory operations, including analytical chemistry and/or microbiology.
  • •Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA expectations, laboratory investigations, data integrity, analytical method validation, stability, and laboratory equipment systems.
  • •Experience supporting regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal audits; ability to lead teams through change and build technical capability.
