Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect highly available, low-latency foundations to process and augment millions of events per second into structured security telemetry.
  • •Build API-first products, including core services and streaming APIs for ingesting security signals into customer security operations and analytics tools.
  • •Engineer security signal logic by partnering with security researchers and threat detection experts to identify anomalous behavior and surface high-fidelity insights.
  • •Lead the technical roadmap, making critical decisions on data modeling, storage strategies, and abstraction layers for future security products.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally with Stripe core platform and data teams while ensuring security data remains isolated and protected.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of professional software development experience shipping and maintaining complex, large-scale systems.
  • •Expertise in data engineering and distributed systems with deep experience building and operating high-throughput streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Spark, or similar).
  • •Strong programming fundamentals with significant experience in Java, C++, or Rust.
  • •Operational mindset: experience running business-critical services with high availability, on-call rotation, and strong observability/debugging.
  • •Excellent communication, technical writing, and ability to mentor engineers while collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
