Job Summary

Produce detailed, resourced-based estimates for energy and infrastructure projects in the UK, evaluating design changes, maintaining baseline costs, and challenging contractor estimates. Work within the client’s estimating function and report to the Regional Estimating Manager, while controlling the estimating process at project level and supporting estimating best practices through Turner & Townsend’s Estimating Hub.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce accurate, comprehensive estimates for projects in a timely and efficient manner, controlling and managing the estimating process at project level.
•Create estimates without management or supervision.
•Evaluate design changes, maintain baseline cost, and challenge contractors’ estimates.
•Support the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
•Stay current on developments in your technical expertise and contribute to the Estimating Hub in the region.

Key Requirements

•Qualified to a high standard in estimating or quantity surveying with proven relevant experience.
•Wide experience of construction projects, preferably with onshore oil and gas experience.
•Proven experience providing estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment.
•Understanding of project management, planning, risk and investment processes.
•Able to use RIB Construction Suite/iTWO to an intermediate user standard, with chartered professional body membership and/or degree-level education preferred.
