Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with senior engineers, developers and architects to gain practical experience with modern data technologies and AI techniques in a real IT advisory context.
•Work on a proposed graduation project focused on using AI to improve data quality and reduce data rejection, exploring concepts such as ETL, data validation, and governance.
•Develop and potentially implement a working prototype demonstrating measurable improvements in data quality (e.g., lower error rates, automated anomaly detection, improved completeness scores).
•Contribute to the design, development and testing of data pipelines and data platforms using Databricks, Python/PySpark, and SQL.
•Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions and activities within the Avanade student community, and pursue Microsoft certifications related to the project.

Key Requirements

•You are a fourth-year HBO ICT student or a Master's student in a WO program and seeking a challenging educational internship starting on 1 September 2026.
•You are interested in analytics, data engineering, data management, computer science and/or artificial intelligence, and enjoy data-driven problems.
•You may already have some programming experience (e.g., Python, SQL), data analysis, data pipelines, cloud platforms or big data technologies, or you want to develop further in these areas.
•You master English and Dutch.
•You are motivated to set up a solid internship/research project, are proactive, work independently, and enjoy meeting new people.
