Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and negotiate primarily English-law governed commercial contracts for Aon entities in the UK, including domestic and international contexts.
  • •Advise business stakeholders on contractual matters such as tenders, cross-border contracting structures, and template rationalization.
  • •Provide legal advice and support on complex client consulting and brokerage contracting, including privacy terms.
  • •Coordinate with the Aon Law team and UK-based support functions to ensure legal risk is managed and proactively escalate risks and matters.
  • •Support team infrastructure by updating precedents and playbooks, conducting research, and arranging training (including delivery and attendance).

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum five years working experience as in-house counsel in a multinational organization or as an associate in a reputable law firm.
  • •Fluent English.
  • •Hands-on experience with UK, US, or other common law jurisdiction commercial contracts, including commercial legal advice, drafting, and negotiating in English.
  • •Ability to work independently and as part of a team, escalating concerns appropriately.
  • •Strong judgment and ability to create practical solutions balancing commercial objectives and legal risks.
