Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and own end-to-end creation of Lightspray SMUs and special projects, managing multiple projects from strategy and conception through product sign-off.
  • •Develop products aligned with strategy by applying expertise in manufacturing processes, material properties, and footwear construction, including creating new materials, colors, and specifications.
  • •Act as the primary liaison between global development hubs in Zurich and Vietnam, aligning roles, responsibilities, and prototyping timelines.
  • •Collaborate with computational designers, footwear developers, and product managers/designers to meet seasonal SMU calendar needs and drive development timelines.
  • •Coordinate complexity through PLM and with Asia partners to hit critical calendar milestones.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of progressive experience in footwear development, with a significant focus on standard inline creation processes.
  • •Knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes including tooling, molding, injecting, welding, lasting, and assembly, plus understanding factory capabilities and tolerances.
  • •Deep knowledge of advanced footwear materials, including properties and performance characteristics, with experience in advanced testing and analysis.
  • •Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with ability to present and defend concepts to senior management and external partners.
  • •Comfortable with autonomy in ambiguous, complex situations, using a root-cause analysis approach to problem-solving.
