Job Summary

Own litigated auto liability and bodily injury claims from suit assignment through resolution, including PIP/Medpay, third-party liability, and UM/UIM matters with high exposure across multiple states. Develop litigation strategy, analyze exposure for settlement negotiations, review pleadings and discovery, and partner with defense counsel and claims management. Handle mediation, depositions, arbitrations, and trials while applying Florida insurance/PIP/bad faith knowledge and maintaining licensing and CE.

Key Responsibilities

•Own a caseload of litigated auto liability and bodily injury claims from suit assignment through resolution.
•Develop litigation strategy by reviewing initial complaints, amended actions, and evolving case facts.
•Analyze claims exposure and build negotiation strategies for settlement; drive settlement negotiations.
•Review pleadings, discovery, and motions to keep suit-handling plans aligned with case developments.
•Prepare for and attend mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and trials; collaborate with defense counsel and claims management, and mentor junior adjusters.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of auto claims adjusting experience.
•3+ years of auto injury claims and litigation experience.
•Extensive Florida claims handling experience, including Florida insurance code, PIP statute, and bad faith framework; additional state experience (e.g., Texas, Georgia, Colorado, Arizona) is strongly preferred.
•Active adjuster license in good standing, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
•Proven ability to mentor junior adjusters and lead file reviews/coaching for complex claims.
