Manage daily activities of the FSQA department to ensure food safety, food quality, and regulatory legality at the facility. Lead FSQA supervisors and technicians, oversee production verification from raw material through finished product, and monitor sanitation. Develop and maintain HACCP/HARPC and SSOP programs, ensure products meet customer specifications, investigate quality complaints, and report audit results to plant and corporate teams.

•Lead daily FSQA department activities to ensure food safety, food quality, and regulatory legality.
•Ensure Tyson FSQA policies and procedures are followed and oversee production verification from receiving through finished product quality and food safety systems.
•Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP/HARPC and SSOP programs, including monitoring preoperational and operational sanitation.
•Ensure finished products meet customer specifications and are properly labeled; monitor analytical results.
•Investigate product issues and quality-related customer complaints, manage departmental budgets/turnover/safety, and report findings to plant and corporate FSQA leadership.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
•At least 5 years in a food manufacturing environment with knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs.
•Prior supervisory experience preferred.
•Proficient computer skills, including generating customer letters and spreadsheets, and ability to learn EIM, SAP, and warehouse inventory systems.
•Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability, including serving as a plant liaison to USDA/FDA.
