Key Responsibilities

  • •Draft, review, and negotiate IT and non-IT contracts (e.g., SaaS, service and consulting agreements, data processing agreements) and maintain standard contract templates.
  • •Provide legal advice to management and cross-functional teams, including on supplier/tool assessments and third-party risk management, and support AI-related assessments.
  • •Maintain GDPR-aligned data privacy organization, own records of processing, and support impact assessments for privacy, data protection, transfers, and ethical considerations.
  • •Advise product owners and information security on privacy implications of new features or product changes, and foster a privacy culture through tailored trainings.
  • •Maintain and implement the compliance management system, monitor regulatory change, manage non-financial risks and controls, and deliver compliance trainings.

Key Requirements

  • •A completed law degree (e.g., 2nd German state exam, LL.M., Doctor of Laws, or European equivalent), with a privacy certification such as CIPP/E as a plus.
  • •At least 5 years of relevant experience in contract and IT law with a focus on privacy, IT law, and regulatory matters (law firm or in-house counsel).
  • •Proven experience as a Data Protection Officer and/or Compliance Officer.
  • •Solid knowledge of AI regulation and its practical relevance to digital business processes and data processing.
  • •Strong experience drafting and negotiating IT contracts (e.g., SaaS, data processing, joint controller, controller-to-controller) and designing privacy/compliance policies and processes.
