Key Responsibilities

  • •Generate new chemical concepts and technologies based on past experience and literature research, and introduce them into work.
  • •Design and run technology-creation projects, including systematic experimentation using DOE and statistical methods.
  • •Manage assigned projects from idea proposal through feasibility study and product release, including quality and experimentation activities (e.g., FMEA, BMAP).
  • •Transfer new products/technologies to production and evaluate competitive technologies, new raw materials, and new processes.
  • •Work with customers and suppliers by defining specification testing criteria, gaining material approval, and supporting technical solutions during plant visits.

Key Requirements

  • •BS, MS, or PhD degree in General Sciences.
  • •Minimum of 7 years experience in thermoplastics and thermosets for automotive OEM markets.
  • •Preferred experience in Hotmelt Chemistry.
  • •Proficiency with DOE, Design FMEA, and other quality programs; proven track record introducing new chemical concepts to formulation work.
  • •Strong oral communication, technical writing, presentation skills, and computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
