Key Responsibilities

  • •Engage regularly with EU policymakers including the Commission, Parliament, Council, and national level policymakers.
  • •Work on priority public policy issues affecting Spotify in the EU, focusing on platforms and content regulation, consumer rules, and trade and tech regulation; manage files and develop effective advocacy strategies.
  • •Collaborate with internal groups (legal, licensing, communications, social impact, compliance, trust and safety) to align internal priorities with external policy approaches.
  • •Develop engagement and partnerships with external organizations such as trade associations and civil society organizations.
  • •Advise on policy matters that impact Spotify in Europe and provide external advocacy, reporting to the Senior Director of European Policy.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of experience in EU government affairs
  • •Expertise on regulatory issues, especially in platform and consumer regulation
  • •Excellent understanding of tech sector and policy, and ability to rapidly understand and master complex policy issues
  • •Mastering of AI tools, such as Claude, Chat GPT, Gemini
  • •Strong written and oral communications skills
