Job Summary

Design and continually evolve secure end-to-end architectures for clients’ IT systems. Use enterprise/security architecture approaches to define security objectives, assess risk appetite, threat-model vulnerabilities, evaluate control effectiveness, and ensure alignment with “Secure by Design,” policy standards, and industry frameworks. Produce security documentation and assurance-gate materials, partner with service management and lines of defense, and mentor junior team members while supporting consulting proposals and governance/risk practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing development of the client’s security architecture.
•Identify business objectives, user needs, risk appetite, and cyber security obligations; perform threat modelling, risk assessment, and evaluate security control effectiveness.
•Verify alignment to “Secure by Design,” corporate security policy/standards, and industry frameworks; develop secure end-to-end solution designs and embedded controls.
•Create security architecture assurance gate outputs (design recommendations, documentation, options papers, risk assessments, and stakeholder presentations) and articulate/justify recommendations.
•Collaborate across 1st/2nd/3rd lines of defense, support governance/risk/compliance aligned to standards, and actively coach/mentor junior team members.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security.
•Working knowledge of security frameworks and guidance such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and NCSC CAF.
•Knowledge of networking concepts including switching, routing, and firewalls.
•Awareness/practice of cloud security concepts, including AWS and/or Microsoft Azure native security capabilities.
•Understanding of modern security concepts, attack vectors, threat intelligence, and security testing/vulnerability management (including pen testing/ITHC, CVSS/CVE), plus experience with security standards such as ISO 27001/27002.
•Any one of CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CRISC (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
