Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, follow loading crew signals, and assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment.
  • •Maintain and deliver required shipping documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and related paperwork).
  • •Perform routine service tasks (e.g., checking oil/water/gas/air) and report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor; arrange trailers in shipping yards and assist with other assigned duties.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold either a Class A CDL or a chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight you operate.
  • •Pass required background and drug testing, and pass a DOT physical (trucks are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Remain focused in a busy environment and provide professional, courteous service to customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Meet physical requirements including prolonged sitting in a trailer cab and lifting/moving up to 40 pounds, and be able to travel frequently.
