Job Summary

Lead and manage stormwater, water resources, and natural resources engineering projects for federal, state, municipal, and private clients from planning through design and construction support. Serve as a project and technical manager, prepare proposals and agreements, direct multidisciplinary teams on drawings and documents, and perform technical quality reviews. Prepare and seal engineering documents as a Virginia-licensed professional engineer, maintain client relationships, and support business development across Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as a project and technical manager for stormwater planning, design, and implementation projects.
•Lead preparation of project proposals and agreements.
•Lead multidisciplinary teams preparing stormwater design and construction drawings and documents, including cost opinions.
•Provide technical direction, oversight, and review of deliverables in line with AECOM quality standards; prepare, review, and seal design documents as a Virginia-licensed professional engineer.
•Support bid and construction phase services, organize client communications and meetings, and help develop new client relationships and business development efforts.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•BA/BS in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field plus 8 years of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
•Professional engineering license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or ability to obtain licensure within six months of start date.
•Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and/or other drafting software.
•Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
•U.S. Citizenship is required and you have stormwater experience.
