Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, transporting loads safely and on time.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals and observing all safety regulations.
  • •Load/unload goods using specialized equipment, including returning equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain and deliver required shipping documentation, including invoices and bills of lading.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., checking fluids) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass DOT physical and be able to meet safety-sensitive requirements, including a background check and a 10-panel drug screen.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Ability to operate safely in accordance with state and federal transportation laws and company safety regulations.
  • •Physical ability to sit for long periods and lift/move up to 40 pounds; may need to travel frequently.
