Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment and maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading).
  • •Perform routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil/water/gasoline/air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations and be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and lift/move up to 40 pounds when needed.
