Job Summary

Operate a forklift without supervision while following all safety rules and procedures. Read job specifications to determine required adjustments and materials, move and lift pallets and loaded goods, hook tow trucks to trailers, and unload and stack items as directed. Maintain accurate material inventory, weigh and record product details, perform routine equipment maintenance (battery recharging, lubrication, fueling, cleaning), and keep the work area orderly.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate forklift as directed and without supervision while complying with all safety policies and procedures.
•Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements.
•Position lifting devices around pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials; hook tow trucks and transport loads to designated areas.
•Unload, stack, and manage material flow by weighing products and recording weight details; supply workers as needed.
•Perform routine forklift maintenance (recharge batteries, lubricate, fuel, clean) and maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/equivalent and at least two years of related trades experience (or equivalent education and experience).
•Must be able to pass an internal certification program.
•Ability to operate forklift controls (move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, maneuver steering wheel).
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs and maintain accuracy while working in a flexible schedule.
