Job Summary

Own privacy and data-protection compliance for the Orion platform globally, partnering with Product, Engineering, and GTM to expand into new jurisdictions. Stand up TRM’s privacy program and artifacts, run end-to-end privacy analysis using AI (including DPIAs and transfer assessments), and embed privacy-by-design in the development lifecycle. Lead DSAR handling, improve data-processing agreement turnarounds, and provide business-ready guidance to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Determine launch readiness for new Orion jurisdictions by owning privacy analysis end-to-end, using AI to draft DPIAs and transfer assessments.
•Embed privacy-by-design into Orion’s development lifecycle by partnering with Engineering to resolve data-flow and retention issues.
•Lead and respond to data subject rights requests (DSARs) in coordination with Engineering and Customer Success.
•Build and maintain privacy program artifacts (records of processing, DPIA templates, breach-response playbooks) using AI-assisted workflows.
•Review and finalize positions on data processing agreements and design cross-border data transfer mechanisms (SCCs and transfer impact assessments) for international customers.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of privacy and data-protection legal experience applying GDPR and US state privacy laws to a technology product.
•Active US bar admission and a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
•Proven AI fluency, using Claude, Gemini, or equivalent tools to design AI-assisted privacy processes.
•Experience counseling Product and Engineering teams on privacy-by-design, DPIAs, and data flows.
•Familiarity with cross-border transfer mechanisms such as SCCs, transfer impact assessments, and adequacy analysis.
