Key Responsibilities

  • •Determine launch readiness for new Orion jurisdictions by owning privacy analysis end-to-end, using AI to draft DPIAs and transfer assessments.
  • •Embed privacy-by-design into Orion’s development lifecycle by partnering with Engineering to resolve data-flow and retention issues.
  • •Lead and respond to data subject rights requests (DSARs) in coordination with Engineering and Customer Success.
  • •Build and maintain privacy program artifacts (records of processing, DPIA templates, breach-response playbooks) using AI-assisted workflows.
  • •Review and finalize positions on data processing agreements and design cross-border data transfer mechanisms (SCCs and transfer impact assessments) for international customers.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of privacy and data-protection legal experience applying GDPR and US state privacy laws to a technology product.
  • •Active US bar admission and a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • •Proven AI fluency, using Claude, Gemini, or equivalent tools to design AI-assisted privacy processes.
  • •Experience counseling Product and Engineering teams on privacy-by-design, DPIAs, and data flows.
  • •Familiarity with cross-border transfer mechanisms such as SCCs, transfer impact assessments, and adequacy analysis.
