Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs and DOT inspections on trailers and equipment with little or no supervision.
  • •Document work per company standards, including uploading pictures and completing Repair Orders (RO) using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application.
  • •Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and complete minor adjustments and repairs on hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, and brake chambers.
  • •Accurately complete DOT forms and other required documentation in a timely fashion.
  • •Respond to call-center dispatched unscheduled service/maintenance requests and maintain safe operating practices and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (trailers); alternative combinations like higher certification or 5 years’ experience may apply.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a dedicated environment.
  • •Ability to complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Required (or obtained within 18 months): ASE T8 (PMI) certification; OEM training/certifications are preferred.
