Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop electro/mechanical designs for products, retrofits, updates, and new functionalities using 3D-CAD in line with design standards.
  • •Apply stage-gate processes and Design for Six Sigma tools (e.g., Pugh matrix, DFMEA, DFA, tolerance calculations, error proofing, P-diagrams).
  • •Ensure components and assemblies meet applicable industrial and company standards.
  • •Identify design risks proactively and validate new designs through calculations, evaluations, models, prototypes, and testing.
  • •Coordinate physical prototype testing, lead design reviews and verification, and manage release of parts/assemblies for production with the manufacturing facility.

Key Requirements

  • •MSc/BSc diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Werktuigbouwkunde) with interest in design and construction.
  • •Experience as a mechanical engineer in a relevant industry.
  • •Knowledge of switchgear design and manufacturing processes (preferred).
  • •Proficiency with 3D design software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • •Design for Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or ambition to obtain it).
