Job Summary

Design and develop mechanical products for hazardous and heavy industrial applications, supporting both new product development and enhancements. Collaborate with a global, cross-functional engineering team to move innovations from concept through production, working within a phase-gate process. Translate customer insights into product requirements, develop and review designs, drawings, and BOMs, and help ensure products meet relevant regulatory requirements for hazardous locations.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including concept, specifications, design, supplier requirements, validation, and production launch.
•Partner with Product Management to turn customer insights and competitive assessments into product requirements and design specifications.
•Maintain understanding of design and regulatory requirements for hazardous location products.
•Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, and bills of materials while helping manage design costs.
•Support project execution from initiation through launch by coordinating across a global, cross-functional team using Emerson’s phase-gate process.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 75,000 - 90,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
•0-3 years of related experience.
•Knowledge of thermoplastic, metal casting, electrical contact and conductor design.

•Working knowledge of CAD, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and additive manufacturing.
