Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the Central Planning Team and provide functional leadership across program planning activities.
  • •Provide performance, career development, and wellbeing leadership for direct reports and wider leadership within the Project, Planning & Controls (PP&C) function.
  • •Collaborate with Planning & Controls Integration, Governance and Systems to deliver an integrated approach to planning and controls.
  • •Develop, integrate, and maintain strategic program schedules aligned to objectives and contractual deliverables, including schedule performance analysis and roadmap development.
  • •Drive planning automation and reporting solutions (including Tableau dashboards), schedule risk management and forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives for schedule quality, planning efficiency, reporting effectiveness, and digital transformation.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated experience as a senior project manager/manager with significant program integration experience, ideally in defence.
  • •Detailed understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • •Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • •Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at a senior level, with ability to influence outcomes.
  • •Degree qualification in Project Management, Business, Commercial or Engineering (preferable) and ability to achieve Registered Project Management status with AIPM (or equivalent), plus eligibility for Australian defence Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance and ITAR requirements.
