Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage, develop, and motivate a team of engineers delivering Human Engineering solutions across design, development, production, and implementation.
  • •Lead a group of approximately 15-20 direct reports and align team resources to meet multiple program/project demands.
  • •Coordinate across interdisciplinary teams to integrate Human Engineering considerations into overall system design and development.
  • •Define system performance requirements for safe and successful human operation of physical, functional, and program interfaces for crew members and maintainers.
  • •Apply human performance principles and methodologies to design human-machine systems and apply relevant military standards to meet program requirements and ensure engineering quality.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Cognitive Psychology, or a Human Engineering related field.
  • •3+ years of experience in Human Engineering as part of an integrated product team.
  • •At least 1 year of leadership experience (team leader, temporary manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) or completion of Boeing’s “Exploring Leadership” course.
  • •Knowledge of Human Engineering standards for design, testing, and certification (e.g., MIL-STD-1472, MIL-STD-1474, MIL-STD-1787, MIL-STD-3009, MIL-STD 411F).
  • •Ability to accomplish results through collaboration with stakeholders across the Boeing enterprise.
