Job Summary

Set up and operate computer-controlled machines to perform repetitive sub-assembly and assembly work on metal or plastic parts, following routine machining procedures under close supervision. Measure and verify finished workpiece dimensions using precision instruments, install and align tooling/fixtures, and perform first-article inspections to ensure quality. Perform plastic assembly processes from manual to complex assemblies while adhering to site EH&S practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare for machine operations and perform routine tasks with multiple machining skill levels.
•Set up and operate computer-controlled machines to machine metal or plastic workpieces.
•Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces using hand tools and measuring instruments.
•Measure finished workpiece dimensions to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
•Perform first-article inspection and spot checks throughout the process to ensure part quality, and complete plastic assembly processes from manual to complex assemblies.

Key Requirements

•1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training (equivalent education/experience acceptable).
•Read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and engineering drawings.
•Understand basic CNC programming using G codes and M codes.
•Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges).
•Experience with modern manufacturing methods such as CI, Kaizen, and 5S; willing to work overtime and weekends/holidays.
