Key Responsibilities

•Deliver effective teaching for MYP and DP Biology in line with IB philosophy and Learner Profile values.
•Support students’ success through strong subject knowledge and a learner-centered approach.
•Apply an understanding of the IB MYP/DP framework and Approaches to Teaching to improve learning outcomes.
•Continuously refine teaching practice to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
•Collaborate with the Science department and leadership team as the department moves forward.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE (or equivalent) in Biology.
•Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching Secondary Biology.
•While IB experience teaching MYP and DP is preferred, outstanding teachers from other curriculum backgrounds are encouraged.
•Strong understanding of the IB MYP/DP framework and Approaches to Teaching is preferred.
•A genuine commitment to IB Learner Profile values and continually improving classroom practice.
