Key Responsibilities

•Managing Risk and Control Assessments for non-financial risks and financial risks in conjunction with Hang Seng Insurance Business Units (BUs).
•Driving the embeddedness and continuous improvement of the HSBC risk management framework (e.g. trigger management, control design and operating effectiveness).
•Supporting the BUs in issue/ incident identification, escalation, and management, including root cause analysis and design of effective remediation plans with achievable timeframe to prevent recurrence.
•Cultivating risk and control mindset into change initiative (new products, process changes, technology releases) launches/ deployments.
•Working within the governance framework support the BUs to provide clear sight of emerging risks and incident trends across their function, resulting in proactive and timely responses.

Key Requirements

•University degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
•Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in insurance or banking, with exposure to risk management, internal controls, audit and knowledge of retail banking, investment markets, insurance products and regulations, operational risk management, control monitoring or related areas
•Proven ability to design, assess, and improve controls; comfortable challenging constructively
•Strong understanding of risk and control methodologies (e.g., RCA, control testing, issue & incident management)
•Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence across senior levels
