Job Summary

Own and rebuild the finance function for a high-growth, VC-backed fintech in private markets. Lead end-to-end budgeting, cash forecasting, and investor/board reporting while establishing Series C-ready analytical foundations like unit economics and profitability modeling. Drive equity rounds, acquisition due diligence, treasury and banking relationships, and lead ERP implementation across the group. Report to General Counsel and partner closely with founders, management, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

•Own end-to-end budgeting (top-down and bottom-up), run monthly variance reviews, and drive quarterly budget control processes with KPIs and milestones.
•Build and maintain cash forecasting to provide regular updates on burn rate and runway.
•Prepare monthly and quarterly updates for board meetings; present financial performance and respond to investor questions.
•Lead financial aspects of equity rounds, including modeling and due diligence management, with a first milestone of preparing Series C.
•Manage acquisition financial due diligence, build M&A models, support post-merger integration, and lead ERP implementation across the group.

Key Requirements

•6+ years progressive in-house finance (ideally SaaS/VC-backed) or PE/consultancy/investment banking, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
•Proven experience in VC-backed financing rounds post-Series B.

•Familiarity with accounting/billing/spend tools (e.g. DATEV, Stripe, Moss, Spendesk) and ERPs (e.g. NetSuite).
•Fluent in English; B2/C1+ German strongly preferred.
