Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build agentic ML systems that learn from ongoing interaction with users and environments, not only static datasets.
  • •Run applied research experiments end-to-end, including problem framing, data analysis, model design, training, and evaluation.
  • •Prototype quickly, iterate on proofs of concept, and help harden the most promising approaches for production on Commerce Cloud.
  • •Collaborate with Commerce Cloud engineering, product, and researchers to translate research results into shipped features.
  • •Stay current with ML/AI research developments and clearly communicate findings via internal writeups, demos, and external publications when relevant.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on machine learning experience building, training, and evaluating ML models yourself.
  • •Strong foundation in one or more areas including reinforcement learning, deep learning, optimization, causal inference, or operations research.
  • •Proficiency in Python and standard ML tooling such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
  • •Strong problem-solving skills for ambiguous, open-ended problems and comfort moving quickly from idea to a working prototype.
