Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and implement wafer-level test plans for PIC wafers, including active and passive optical components.
  • •Analyze large-scale wafer test datasets to identify performance trends and yield detractors; drive root-cause analysis for yield excursions.
  • •Lead Failure Analysis Reports (FAR) for wafer-level rejects and coordinate with foundry, design, and process teams to resolve failure causes.
  • •Partner with contract manufacturers to deploy alternative test solutions that reduce lead times and increase throughput without compromising quality.
  • •Drive NPI DEV-to-PROD release validation by confirming test correlation between bench-top characterization and automated wafer probers, while collaborating to set guard band and spec limits.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Optical Physics, Physics, or Semiconductor Manufacturing.
  • •3+ years of experience in optical or semiconductor industries with wafer-level probe test focus.
  • •Strong understanding of PIC wafer testing across lasers, modulators, detectors, and waveguides.
  • •Hands-on experience with wafer-probing equipment, automated test equipment (ATE), and cleanroom protocols.
  • •Proficiency with JMP or Minitab and database management (SQL/SQLite), plus the ability to communicate technical failures clearly.
