Key Responsibilities

  • •Support and mature Sentry’s security review program, including secure code review, architecture review, and threat modeling.
  • •Contribute to vulnerability management, including intake, triage, prioritization, remediation tracking, and support for bug bounty/responsible disclosure.
  • •Advocate secure-by-design by partnering with engineering and product to embed security early and integrate tooling into developer/CI/CD workflows.
  • •Validate and reproduce security findings via scanning and manual testing, including supporting penetration testing and vulnerability validation across Sentry’s applications, SDKs, and cloud platform.
  • •Evaluate and respond to emerging threats relevant to application security, including those introduced by agentic product capabilities and AI-assisted engineering practices.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of experience designing, building, or securing complex applications and cloud systems.
  • •Degree in Computer Science or a related field, equivalent training, or professional experience.
  • •Hands-on experience with security reviews, SDLC practices, secure CI/CD, architecture reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and/or bug bounty & responsible disclosure programs.
  • •Comfort programming in at least one language, and able to read and reason about code in Python, TypeScript, Go, or Rust.
  • •Familiarity with distributed cloud technology (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and how these technologies are secured (networking, IAM).
