Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide maintenance support to ensure safe and effective operation of ammonia refrigeration and HCFC systems, plus hot water, compressed air, and steam systems.
  • •Perform robust preventative maintenance and refrigeration repairs.
  • •Carry out emergency mechanical or electrical repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, pump, pressure, and hydraulic equipment.
  • •Use knowledge of boiler theory, RETA Operator I, and IIAR Basic NH3 refrigeration schematics to support assigned production equipment.
  • •Minimize downtime due to equipment and system failure while working with plant personnel to meet plant goals.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience or equivalent experience education (preferred technical/industrial maintenance training) in lieu of experience.
  • •RETA Operator 1 certification and experience required; RETA Operator 2 and 3 preferred.
  • •Basic computer skills to log work orders and documentation; ability to learn and use CMMS.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively and perform basic math (percentages, fractions, measurements).
  • •Ability to meet physical and training requirements, including passing a HAZ-Mat physical and Emergency Responder Technician Level certification training.
