Job Summary

Lead the Americas merchandising strategy for Smartwool and icebreaker, translating consumer, marketplace, and partner insights into clear seasonal assortment direction. Partner with Wholesale, Retail, eCommerce, Planning, Marketing, and Global Product teams to drive commercial alignment, assortment planning and productivity, and GTM readiness. Build assortment frameworks, contribute to line reviews and product briefs, and use sell-through and SKU performance data to improve execution over time.

Key Responsibilities

•Guide the Americas merchandising point of view by combining consumer, marketplace, account, competitive, and performance insights into seasonal assortment direction.
•Review product and marketplace performance to identify risks, opportunities, and shifts in consumer demand for seasonal planning.
•Build seasonal assortment frameworks defining category roles, channel/account needs, and price architecture; partner with Planning on breadth, depth, SKU productivity, franchise health, and carryover/refresh/innovation balance.
•Bring regional recommendations into line reviews, product briefs, account conversations, and GTM milestones; incorporate sell-through, SKU productivity, and partner feedback to improve assortment clarity and execution.
•Coordinate cross-functional input across Sales, Marketing, DTC/eCommerce, Planning, Finance, and Global Product partners; communicate priorities, risks, and changes to support timely decisions.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 112,320 - 140,400 annually

Key Requirements

•7–10 years of experience in merchandising, buying, category management, or product line/assortment-related roles (outdoor or adjacent industries preferred).
•Proven ability to build and execute regional assortments that reflect consumer, marketplace, and channel needs.
•Strong analytical mindset using Excel/BI tools for sell-through analysis, SKU productivity, recaps, and assortment optimization.
•Product and brand judgment, including competitive research and trend synthesis, with the ability to connect choices to brand consistency.
•Ability to communicate and present clearly while influencing and collaborating across matrixed regional and global teams.
