Job Summary

Support faculty and students within Health Sciences programs by maintaining college laboratories and workshops. In a hands-on role, set up labs for experiments, demonstrate and troubleshoot equipment and facilities, and keep preventive maintenance schedules, manuals, and maintenance logs up to date. Manage supplies and inventories, track borrowed tools, reinforce safety and housekeeping protocols, and coordinate with other Health Sciences programs and purchasing/finance processes.

Job Function: Laboratory & Clinical Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain laboratories and workshops, including installation, demonstration, and troubleshooting of equipment and facilities.
•Set up labs in preparation for experiments and ensure supplies are available with proper documentation.
•Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, manuals, and maintenance logs for laboratory equipment.
•Manage consumable inventory, track borrowed equipment and tools, and reinforce safety and housekeeping procedures.
•Provide on-the-job task training, respond to questions within area of expertise, and coordinate with other Health Sciences programs.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
•3+ years of experience in setup and maintenance of laboratories.
•Knowledge of laboratory instruments, equipment, tools, and consumables.
•Strong installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving skills.
•Demonstrated knowledge of safety protocols.
