Job Summary

Join BMC’s IZOT mainframe modernization team to validate product functionality and ensure quality through manual and automated testing. You’ll identify end-user scenarios, document and track defects, and validate fixes, while writing test automation scripts for regression. Work across Agile with developers and QA peers, debug issues, and automate manual assignments using Robot/SuperTest to improve QA practices and product reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Validate product functionality through manual and automated execution of test cases with developers, architects, and QA team members.
•Identify end-user scenarios, document and track issues/defects, and validate fixes provided by developers.
•Write test automation scripts for regression testing using an automation framework.
•Debug problems and automate manual assignments in Robot/SuperTest.
•Contribute to product and process improvements by refining QA practices and understanding product capabilities from a customer perspective.

Salary: INR 2,549,100 - 4,248,500

Key Requirements

•8+ years working in a z/OS system QA role or in Tech Services (Storage Admin or installing/implementing products).
•Strong hands-on experience with z/OS including JCL, SMP/E, REXX, VSAM, and VSAM/RLS.
•Working knowledge of JES2 and batch job processing.
•Experience with QA methodology such as functionality, negative, and stress tests, plus writing clear test plans and test cases.
•Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and working in an Agile development process.
