Job Summary

Serve as the primary on-site representative for construction inspection of a new three-span bridge project at an active surface mining operation in Bagdad, Arizona. Work independently while coordinating with the client, contractor, and stakeholders to verify compliance with plans, specs, and quality standards. Produce daily inspection reports and documentation, observe key construction activities, support payment/acceptance verification, and follow mine-site safety and MSHA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as AECOM’s sole on-site construction inspection representative and primary point of contact for daily field activities.
•Independently perform construction inspection for a three-span bridge project within an active surface mining facility.
•Monitor contractor operations to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, contract documents, and quality standards.
•Document and report field findings, including daily inspection reports, photographs, quantity documentation, and project records.
•Observe major bridge construction activities and participate in project meetings to communicate inspection results and recommendations.

Salary: USD 45 - 57 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent plus eight (8) years of relevant bridge, structural, or heavy civil construction inspection experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
•Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
•Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
•Current MSHA Part 48 Surface Metal/Nonmetal Miner Training certification or ability to obtain it prior to starting.
•Knowledge of bridge construction methods (reinforced concrete, structural steel, deep foundations, drainage structures, and earthwork) and experience inspecting bridge/heavy civil projects.
