Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform basic mold assembly and maintenance to ensure tooling is production ready at scheduled set up times.
  • •Disassemble, clean, inspect, and assemble tooling and mold components; prepare tooling for set up with necessary components.
  • •Identify tooling from prepared set-up sheets and follow daily instructions from the Group Leader.
  • •Perform mold PMs at scheduled intervals and identify potential tooling issues through visual inspection.
  • •Assist with mold disassembly/assembly, train new employees, and ship/receive molds with inventory and inspection of incoming molds.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years’ experience as an SBM/EBM Mold Set-up B.
  • •Capable of completing mold changeovers on at least three machine platforms within the department.
  • •Knowledge of extrusion head teardowns and re-assemblies, including sanding extrusion molds/tooling components if applicable.
  • •Good mechanical aptitude with basic math skills to measure tooling components.
  • •Ability to read and write effectively to understand production materials, and to follow written and verbal instructions.
