Key Responsibilities

  • •Architect and implement solutions that enable internal and external customers to use ByteDance’s globally scaled content delivery network.
  • •Build metrics, tools, automations, visualizations, and monitors to operate and optimize edge services.
  • •Develop procedures and workflows to improve operational efficiency, trust, and compliance.
  • •Run vulnerability and capacity assessments and develop disaster recovery strategies for high availability of global CDN services.
  • •Participate in technical operations and rotations to respond to performance and reliability issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • •At least 2 years of experience in CDN performance engineering, solution architecting, or site reliability engineering roles.
  • •At least 2 years of experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, or Go, plus scripting in Shell and Python.
  • •Experience operating in a multi-CDN environment.
  • •Experience with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, and DNS in a carrier-grade environment.
