Job Summary

Develop and test software applications and automation tools for critical enterprise platforms, taking ownership of architecture, design, and hands-on implementation. You’ll analyze user stories, build proofs of concept, perform code reviews, and drive consistent engineering practices across toolsets and components. Partner with technical product managers on blueprints and planning, communicate solution design to stakeholders, and proactively identify opportunities to adopt new technology to meet current and future customer needs.

•Own technical aspects of software development, including architecture and design, for assigned applications.
•Perform hands-on software development tasks such as writing code, creating API specs, building proof of concepts, and conducting code reviews and testing in ongoing sprints.
•Drive consistent development practices using tools and common components.
•Develop deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms, and work with technical product managers on blueprints and planning.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
•4+ years of commercial software development experience.
•Proficiency building distributed/multi-tier systems using languages such as Java and Python.
•Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, services, and microservices-based applications with Spring Boot or Vert.x, including Kafka and relational and/or NoSQL databases.
•Experience with Agile development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and CI/CD pipeline tools.
