Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine electronics, diesel steering, gas/diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems.
  • •Inspect/test defective equipment, conduct road tests, and use sound judgment to identify malfunctions and appropriate next steps.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck; perform safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Maintain accurate documentation on repair orders using company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application, completing DOT and other forms in a timely fashion.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination (such as additional degree/certification or 5 years of related experience).
  • •Possess and supply required hand tools to perform the job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a qualifying current DOT medical card).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license with an ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File.
