Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, and order parts while diagnosing issues using data across makes and models.
  • •Practice safe job practices and perform preventive maintenance and repairs for generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and complete repairs.
  • •Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites, working individually or with other technicians as needed.
  • •Maintain complete and timely daily work-order/electronic documentation, assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, and help train lower-level technicians as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Own tools applicable to the position.
  • •Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience maintaining and repairing power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
  • •Ability to calculate nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and read schematics.
  • •Must be able to obtain EPA 608 certification within 6-12 months if not already certified (and be able to meet physical requirements for the role).
