Job Summary

Join HP’s PWP (PageWide Web Press) business as a Mechanical Engineer in the Customer Assurance and Growth Team. You’ll design mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware solutions, take engineering responsibility for product subsystems, and provide tier 4 support to investigate field and factory issues. Create and validate test plans for reliability and safety, collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, and suppliers, and communicate design status and resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Design mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware solutions aligned with engineering principles and development technology practices.
•Provide tier 4 engineering support by investigating hardware issues in the field and at the press factory to determine root causes.
•Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, validating tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, EMI, safety, reliability, power measurements, and acoustics.
•Use continuous improvement methods to improve performance, reliability, quality, and reduce cost.
•Serve as a technical interface for strategic suppliers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for complex products.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
•Typically 5 to 7 years of engineering experience.
•Ability to design engineering solutions for mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware using established engineering principles and development guidelines.
•Experience supporting technical solutions across the full design cycle from concept through prototype, manufacturing, and end-of-life/obsolescence.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
